Revolution Biography - Larry Barker
~ Drums, Percussion, Vocals
At age 7, Larry a Colorado native; took up the snare drum in concert
band and learned the basics. A couple years later had his first rock
band the Realistics.
Their high pitched pre adolescent voices cranked out pop tunes like
Proud Mary, Eight Days a week and Gloria to name a few.
Some of his accomplishments and training in those early days included
learning Scottish Regimental Drumming, marching and performing with
the Blackwatch of Colorado (Bagpipe Band), mastering his Rudiments with
the Eldoradans (Drum and Bugle Corp), Northglenn High school Marching
band and touring Europe with the Northglenn High School Jazz Ensemble
in 1974.
Since those early days he has performed and toured with numerous bands.
Genres include Rock, Heavy Metal, Country, Jazz, Pop to Blues, Originals,
Alternative and more. Larry been in bands with members of Vanilla Fudge
and MC-5 and have opened for Head East and Vixen to name a few.
When he’s not performing, he spends a lot of time in the mountains
Fishing, Hunting and sitting around the campfire sharing lies…
As the newest member of the band Revolution, Larry is looking forward
to continuing their tradition of entertaining crowds and moving people
to dance over the Front Range and beyond.
