Revolution Biography - Jim Ingman
Bass Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards
Jim Ingman, born and raised in the greater Seattle area and son of a
Jazz singer, Ivan, was around music from birth it seems.
First taking the stage at the age of 11 in a 3 piece gospel band, his
stand-up bass towered over him. Over the following years many projects
were investigated. Original rock recordings as well as stints in top
40,
Dance, Bluegrass, Country, Punk, and heavy metal. There is something
wonderful to be found in all kinds of music!!
"In 1985-86, I had the undeserved and great pleasure of working
with one of the greatest and most innovative guitarists of all time,
in his twilight years.
Kenneth "Thumbs" Carlyle passed away in 1989 having cut the
guitar parts on some of the greatest pre-rock and country recordings
of all time. “Thumbs” played an electric guitar on his lap
with all 8 fingers and both thumbs, and was capable of silencing a room
with his incredible gift and technique. I am so fortunate to have witnessed
that gift, I dedicate this small space to his memory.
Thank you, Thumbs."
